About the Role:
As a Fitness-To-Work Assessor, you'll delve deep into client health and injury history, conducting comprehensive full-body musculoskeletal assessments to evaluate their readiness for critical strength and mobility testing. Your keen eye and specialised knowledge will be crucial in determining their ability to safely perform essential job duties, ensuring they're fully prepared for what lies ahead. During Critical Strength & Mobility Assessments, you'll provide expert supervision with meticulous attention to detail. From ensuring proper lifting techniques to closely monitoring vital signs like heart rates and oxygen levels, you'll be the bedrock of safety, guiding each step with confidence and precision.
As a Fitness-To-Work Assessor, you will:

Greet clients as they arrive for their occupational testing appointment providing an exceptional first impression

Complete the client intake process which includes verifying client identity, creating client files and completing the necessary paperwork as required

Examine client health and injury history and conduct a thorough full-body musculoskeletal assessment to ascertain the client’s ability to perform critical strength and mobility testing, as well as for fulfilling essential job duties safely

Supervise Critical Strength & Mobility assessments ensuring proper lifting techniques are demonstrated and client heart rates and oxygen levels are within safe ranges

Effectively resolve client conflicts with a calm and professional demeanour

Adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive client information such as personal details and test results

Collect breath, urine, oral fluid, and hair specimens following standard chain of custody protocols

Administer specimen validity testing and point-of-care testing ensuring the accurate interpretation of test results and application of log protocols

Administer a variety of occupational health services including hearing tests, pulmonary function tests, vision screens and respirator fit tests ensuring high quality results are achieved

Support a variety of administrative functions including inventory counts, record management, client support and other tasks as required
What you’ll bring:

University Degree in Kinesiology,Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy, Chiropractic or equivalent required.

Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED or equivalent required

Experience working in a customer service role or in a clinical setting considered an asset

Experience with exercise testing and evaluating proper biomechanics considered an asset
